Fiber

Fiber is consumed through various foods because it possesses many nutritional values. Dietary fiber is very beneficial and source for healthy heart, good digestions, health and energy. There are many ways to intake fiber like though fruits, vegetables and seeds.

Apples: It is commonly said that an apple in a day keeps the doctor away. Skin of an apple is a good source of fiber as well as other nutrients like phytochemicals, carbohydrates etc. So eat it without peeling it off to enjoy good health.


Pears: It is another great source of dietary fiber that is why boiled pears usually given to small babies when they face constipation. If you are on the same way then add it to your diet to avoid indigestive or constipation


Parsnip: Many of you may have not heard this before. Parsnip is a root vegetable which is closely related to carrots as well as parsley. This is also a good medium of fiber. It is delicious in taste and can be consumed like carrots or as a substitute of potatoes


Sprouts: We all know that sprouts are rich in fiber but still many avoid it. To make tastier, add veggies like cucumber, onion, tomatoes, chilies with lemon juice and pinch of salt. Have it as a salad or light snack in evening.


Spinach: An immense source of fiber as well as iron. Boil a bunch of spinach with potatoes or cook it but eat it to recover iron or fiber deficiency in your diet.


Whole Grains: Generally grain like wheat is refined. This is what goes wrong. Grains always should be consumed as whole without removing the bran that is the main source of fiber. Brown rice is another type of grain which can be eaten to benefit fiber.


Quinoa: It is a kind of seed which is generally misunderstood as a grain. It is a decent source of fiber. Boil or try various delicious dishes of quinoa and eat it as a healthy dish in lunch or dinner.


Beans: This vegetable is seen and cooked at home commonly. White beans or black beans are also rich in fiber and can be relished with steamed rice.


Flax Seeds: Our body requires both soluble and insoluble fiber and flax seeds contain the both. Add a teaspoon of ground seeds to your cereal or oatmeal taken in the morning. It is very healthy as well as contains decent quantity of fiber.
